These solid carbide roughers are availble in two designs: Short (3-5 flutes), and Long (4 flutes).

SOLID CARBIDE ROUGHERS FOR ALUMINUM (WITH INTERNAL COOLANT)
These solid carbide tools improve on the basic, aluminum-optimized, roughers by adding support for internal coolant (delivered through the flutes). This helps to wash the chips out of the hole, preventing chip buildup – which aids to increase performance.
