Family Overview
A family of modular Mill-Thread tool holders that are ideal for hard-to-reach applications. These holders are designed to work with the stock Carmex thread milling inserts (regular / spiral / D-Thread). They can also be extended by the different available (steel) extensions.
Features:
- Unique clamping method enables high rigidity, and superior indexability
- The holders and the extensions support internal cooling through the bore
- The same shank can hold different heads, which can contribute to cost savings
- Screw connection allows for long overhang
- The holders are compatible with common tool holding systems
Our range of Deep Reach tools consists of the following lines:
TOOL HOLDERS FOR SPIRAL INSERTS
A product line of holders that are compatible with inserts from the Spiral Mill-Thread line.

Currently, the following insert types can be used: H19 / H23 / H28 / H32.
TOOL HOLDERS FOR STANDARD INSERTS
A product line of holders that are compatible with standard Mill-Thread indexable inserts.

Currently, the holders can be used with inserts sizes of 14 mm / 0.55 inch, and 21 mm / 0.826 inch.
TOOL HOLDERS FOR D-THREAD INSERTS
A product line of holders that are compatible with threading inserts from the D-Thread tool family.

Currently, the only D-Thread inserts that can be used in Deep Reach holders are the ones with type 16U.
EXTENSIONS
These extensions are a vital part of the Deep Reach family. They are the ones responsible for “extending” the holders, which effectively enables the machining of the applications.
Features:
- The overall length of the extension can be 80 – 150 mm (metric versions), or 3.15 – 6 inch (inch versions)

- Not all extensions can be used with each tool holder
